Scavenger Hunt

Details and Rules

STARTS: Sunday, June 28, 2026 (8:00 a.m.) through
ENDS: Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (12:00 p.m)

Instructions

  1. Log in via the Settings tab in the AVS Events mobile app.
  2. Click on the “Scavenger Hunt” button on the Home screen or click on the “More” button at the bottom right of the app, and scroll down to and click on “Scavenger Hunt.”
  3. You should be able to see Points, Position, Leaderboard, Checklist, and About.
    • Review the official rules and learn more about the game by clicking on the About tab.
    • All tasks/clues can be found under the Checklist tab.
  4. Follow the tasks/clues to find QR codes.
  5. Scan each QR code you find to collect points and add to your score. Each activity has a listed point value that is automatically added to your total score once scanned.

Official Rules

  1. The Scavenger hunt officially “opens” on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., at which point, players can begin an amazing adventure!
  2. You may only receive points for each event/task once.
  3. Players must complete as many tasks and challenges as possible within the available time, in any order they choose. There are many tasks, so do your best to find as many as you can to ensure you receive the most points!
  4. Once a challenge has been completed, use the QR code tab in the app to scan QR codes provided by AVS staff, exhibitors, or designated personnel—follow the directions listed on the task to secure your points.
  5. Please continue to review the mobile app or leaderboard near the AVS Event Office to see how you compare to the competition.
  6. Be safe and sensible when you’re moving around the Conference. Please be respectful and courteous, and don’t endanger yourself or others or do anything illegal for the sake of acquiring points.
  7. If you have any questions during the Scavenger hunt, please email scavengerhunt@avs.org.
  8. The game officially “closes” on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. No scans will be performed after this time.

Post-Game

  1. Winners will be announced in the ALD/ALE Registration Area on Wednesday @ 3:45 p.m.
  2. The top 5 highest point-getters will receive a prize. In the event of a tie, the winners will be determined by the time the final points are received.
  3. Winners must be present to claim their prize.
